Setting the Mood
Christmas is less than two weeks away! I don’t know about you but I am all for Christmas movies. They help set the mood for the season and the cheesier the better. No matter how many times I have seen these movies it still isn’t Christmas until I have watched them; even more than once sometimes.
Topping the List
A relatively new Christmas movie but it is considered a classic around my home. My favorite line of the movie: ” Hi, it’s Buddy the Elf. What’s your favorite color?”
Buddy will amp up your Christmas spirit and like me, you will most likely watch it over and over again.
Honestly, who doesn’t like this movie? I cannot hear “Rocking around the Christmas Tree” without picturing Kevin dancing with the blow-up doll.
They probably should have stopped at the second one but I do still love these characters. This movie makes me wish I could visit New York during the holidays to check out all the magical sights.
Not Done Yet
Speaking of Christmas movies that make me want to travel, The Holiday is another. I want to visit both England and Los Angeles every time I watch this romantic comedy. Such a cute story 🙂
This film also has a stellar cast with two of my favorite actresses, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz.
I have always loved Tim Allen and this one just makes me laugh so hard. The feel-good ending will leave you with a little tear while celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.
This movie makes me appreciate my family and especially my in-laws. I thank my lucky stars that we do not have to go through what these characters have to at Christmas. I may want to run away too if that was the case.
It also prepared us for baby vomit. Consider that a warning for not one but two really funny scenes in the movie.
Vince Vaughn is obviously one of my favorite actors; rounding out another Christmas movie with him as the star.
Fred Claus is not your traditional Santa movie but oh so funny! Who knew Santa had a brother, right? Check it out, it is sibling rivalry at its best.
MR. BEAN
This is not a movie but in our household, it is not Christmas until we have seen the Christmas episode of Mr. Bean! I’ve watched this probably a million times and I still laugh out loud. The turkey on his head and the nativity scene will never get old.
What About You?
Every year I add a few more to the list but these favorites always have to make an appearance. Do you have any MUST see holiday movies? I’d love to hear from you!
Until next time,
Kerra
